This is why we would now like to state our position in the public debate about bisphenol A* in baby feeding bottles. NUK supplies baby feeding bottles made of glass and plastic. Plastic feeding bottles are made of either polypropylene (PP) or polycarbonate (PC) – only the latter are based on the starting material bisphenol A. As parents and customers, you can choose which material best meets your needs and make your own decision. We should point out that we at NUK are convinced of the safety of all the materials we use. PC is one of the most thoroughly-researched plastics and according to today’s state of scientific knowledge, absolutely safe to use – this is confirmed by both German and European/American consumer protection bodies**.
